Sierra Leonean rapper and Entertainment Ambassador, Kao Denero, has publicly identified several local artists whom he says he has assisted in securing international travel and performance opportunities through his role as Special Envoy for Entertainment and Investment.

In a public statement, Kao Denero described one of the responsibilities of a special envoy as seeking opportunities that benefit colleagues while promoting a positive image of Sierra Leone across the world.

He stated that the facilitation of United States visas for musicians King Melody, Rap G, Lamson P and veteran singer Amie Kallon can be credited to the Office of Entertainment and Investment, highlighting the office’s efforts to support Sierra Leonean entertainers seeking opportunities abroad.

The rapper also disclosed that, following what he described as extensive behind-the-scenes efforts, musician Artical Foryoh is expected to travel to Canada soon for a special performance. According to Kao Denero, he played a key role in facilitating the process that made the trip possible.

Speaking about Artical Foryoh, Kao Denero praised the artist’s commitment and loyalty, describing him as more than a friend and referring to him as a brother. He concluded by expressing gratitude to God for the achievement.

Beyond highlighting these accomplishments, Kao Denero criticized what he described as a persistent culture of criticism directed at his work. He argued that many Sierra Leoneans often overlook his contributions to the country’s entertainment industry despite his national and international recognitions.

The award-winning rapper maintained that his achievements should be acknowledged rather than criticized, emphasizing that he remains committed to advancing Sierra Leone’s entertainment sector regardless of public criticism.

Kao Denero reiterated that he would not allow negative comments to distract him from his mission of creating opportunities for Sierra Leonean artists and representing the country positively on the international stage.
