The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is targeting 16,144 public officers across 224 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the 2026 asset declaration exercise.

ACC Coordinator of Operations Patrick Sandi disclosed the figure during the government weekly press conference on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Miatta Civic Conference Center in Freetown.

Sandi said 13,036 public officers had completed their declarations as of the latest update, representing approximately 81 percent of the target, while about 19 percent were yet to comply.

He explained that although the number of MDAs covered by the exercise has increased, the number of targeted declarants has declined following a review of the categories of public officers required to declare.

According to Sandi, the Commission is paying particular attention to categories of officers whose declarations are considered important for data analysis and verification, including personnel within the police and military.

He urged outstanding declarants to complete the process before the statutory deadline, warning that enforcement measures would follow for those who fail to comply.
