The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially commenced the third batch of the CAF C Diploma Coaching Course at the SLFA Secretariat in Freetown.
The coaching development programme forms part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the technical capacity of football coaches across Sierra Leone and promote the development of a new generation of qualified coaching professionals.
The latest edition marks the third time the SLFA has organised the CAF C Diploma Course, allowing more local coaches to improve their technical knowledge, coaching skills and professional competencies in accordance with Confederation of African Football (CAF) standards.
The programme will run for 120 hours over three months, combining classroom-based theoretical lessons with practical coaching sessions and internships. The structure is designed to provide participants with both the knowledge and hands-on experience required to progress in their coaching careers.
The course is expected to help improve the quality of coaching across various levels of football in the country, while creating a stronger pathway for coaches seeking to advance through the CAF coaching education system.
Meanwhile, the SLFA has confirmed that the CAF B Diploma Coaching Course is expected to commence next month, providing an opportunity for coaches to continue their professional development beyond the C Diploma level.
The continued organisation of CAF-accredited coaching programmes reflects the SLFA’s broader commitment to technical development and improving the standards of football administration and coaching in Sierra Leone.
