NASSIT Targets Members Aged 54 and Above in Retirement Awareness Drive.
The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has launched a retirement readiness campaign in Kono District, targeting members aged 54 and above to help them prepare for life after employment.
The engagement exercise, being conducted under the institution’s Project 54+, seeks to educate members about their responsibilities under Sierra Leone’s social security scheme and provide guidance on preparing for retirement.
The programme is intended to help members understand the retirement process and make the necessary preparations before leaving active employment.

Through Project 54+, NASSIT aims to support members as they move from working life into retirement, while promoting greater awareness of their rights and responsibilities under the social security system.
The nationwide sensitisation exercise is part of the institution’s efforts to encourage retirement planning among its members, particularly those approaching retirement age.
