Minister of Information and Civic Education, Hon. Chernor Bah, has touched down in Istanbul, Türkiye, on the 1st November, 2023, ahead of the highly anticipated United Nations Feminist Network for Gender Transformative Education.

The Minister was warmly welcomed by the Head of Mission of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Turkiye, Ambassador Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, along with Deputy Ambassador Paul A.S Minah and Head of Chancery Franklyn Brima Fawundu.

This year’s 2023 Feminist Network for Gender Transformative Education aims to unite influential voices in the feminist movement to expedite global strides in gender-transformative education. The annual gathering unites civil society organizations, international and national NGOs, young feminist activists, academics, government officials, and multilateral partnerships and funds to champion, enhance, and drive gender equality within the education sector.

With representatives from more than 50 nations, the event promises to harness diverse lived experiences and on-the-ground insights, fostering a global approach to advancing gender equality in education.
