The Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation, Mr. Rex Bhonapha with a five-man delegation from the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration are in Cairo, Egypt for a six day visit on the invitation of the Egyptian Maritime Authority through the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Cairo.
The Delegation will meet with the Maritime Authority and Ministry of Transport and Aviation of Egypt.
The objective of the visit is to establish an Administrative and Technical Cooperation between the two countries’ Maritime Institutions in order to improve Sierra Leone’s blue economy.
The delegation was received at the Chancery by His Excellency, Ambassador Sadiq Silla, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Mr Rex Bhonapha was accompanied by the Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration, Mr. Paul Sobba Massaquoi, Chairman, Board of Directors, SLMA, Umaru B Dumbuya, Director of Administration, Mrs. Inatorma S Coomber and Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Compliance, Mr. Hartwell P. I. Williams.
The visit starts with a tour of the New Administrative Capital.
