First Lady of Sierra Leone, Fatima Bio has on Monday 16th January 2023, engaged a large number of young people of the Republic of Liberia in an open conversation organized by the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Monrovia.
In her opening statement, Fatima Bio thanked and appreciated Vice President Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor for the invitation and for the opportunity to share stories of her successes and challenges, with over 400 emerging leaders.
She expressed admiration for Vice President Howard-Taylor, whom she applauded for her successful journey from a First Lady to a Senator, and now to Vice President.
In an interesting and interactive discussion, the First Lady explained to the highly attentive audience that social media is a place she uses to educate, learn, as well as to staunchly promote the interests of girls and women in her country.
This exciting program, organized in honour of Vice President Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor’s 60th birthday celebration, was also attended by the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as one of the Special Guests of Honour.
The three important personalities, in the persons of Vice President Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and Dr. Fatima Jabbie Maada Bio, shared their experiences and inspired hundreds of young people present. The session ended with a special questions and answers session and a lot was learned from the experiences shared.
