Seven Sierra Leonean working in Lebanon have reportedly been found dead in a nine-story building this afternoon.

According to reports, the cause of death is due to a gas explosion. However, some citizens are debunking the report, alleging that there was no fire in the building where the incident occurred.

In light of that, some citizens are calling on the Sierra Leone Embassy in Lebanon and other relevant authorities to fully investigate the circumstances that led to the death of the seven Sierra Leoneans.

Some Sierra Leoneans also took to social media to express their anger and frustration over the continuous deaths of Sierra Leonean migrant workers in Lebanon.

Over the years, there have been several reports of Sierra Leonean migrant workers being killed and abused by their bosses in Lebanon and other Middle Eastern nations.

As investigations continue, we send our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, and may the souls of the departed rest in peace.
