The Scandalous Status of the Sierra Leone Chancery Building in New York
NEW YORK: On Sunday, 9th October 2022, we visited again the abandoned Chancery Building of the Sierra Leone Mission in New York to observe the status of the renovation for which over US$4.6 million was transferred in 2019 by officials of the Maada Bio regime.
This short video taken on Sunday evening during my visit doesn’t only show the deplorable state of the abandoned mission building but it also points to the fact that more than a year after the Africanist Press published this monumental corruption story, officials of the Maada Bio regime haven’t done anything to address the international embarrassment resulting from their theft of over US$4.6 million in public funds earmarked for this project in 2019.
