Sierra Leonean Student Emerges Best Graduate at Cyprus International University for 2023/2024

A Sierra Leonean student Abass Papani Kabbia of the Cyprus International University emerged as the best graduate student for the 2023/2024 academic year with.

According to the report, Kabbia scored a total of 36As and 3Bs through out his four year course at the university.

Kabbia joined the university in 2021 to study Molecular Biology and Genetics, a course which is said to have initially doubted by many, but graduated with high honors in all eight semesters, becoming the best graduating student in his department, faculty, and the overall best graduating student of the University.

Kabbia is an alumnus of The Sierra Leone Grammar School who took the WASSCE in 2017 and was admitted to the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS) but was unable to complete his course die to grade issue with the administration.

In 2019 he was enrolled at the University of Makeni (UNIMAK) where he study Public Health, where he excelled by achieving 17 As in 22 courses.

Congratulations Abbass, thanks for making your country proud. We are still producing good fruit no matter how things may look like in our country. My brother lecturers in this country makes education very difficult for us. I cannot ignore the fact that some students are just not serious but the dedicated ones are also polluted by the system.

Salone man get sense but for learn book na dis Kon3 🇸🇱 na big big problem. Can you imagine, he had grade issues in COMAHS but graduated as the best student in Cyprus.
