American University (AU) is seeking exceptional students from various countries, including Sierra Leone to join its prestigious Emerging Global Leader Scholarship (EGLS) program for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This scholarship program offers a life-changing opportunity for high-achieving international students passionate about positive social change to pursue their undergraduate studies in the United States.

These scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, contingent upon maintaining good academic standing.
AU seeks students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, with a minimum GPA equivalent of 3.8 or placement in the top 10% of their graduating class. A strong commitment to leadership, volunteerism, and community service in their home countries is also a key factor. Preference will be given to students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds who have overcome significant challenges.
