The College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS) has officially released the fee structure for the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year, revealing a tiered payment system for students entering the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
The new schedule specifically details costs for the Pre-Medical Foundation Course 1 (Premed 1), distinguishing between Sierra Leonean nationals, Nigerian students, and other international applicants.
Fees for Sierra Leonean Students For local students, the total cost for the academic year is set at Le 14,651.00. This amount is split between a base Tuition Fee of Le 9,531.00 and Other Charges totaling Le 5,120.00.
A breakdown of the additional charges indicates that the highest ancillary costs are for the Laboratory and the Orientation Package, both charged at Le 1,000.00 each. Other significant fees include Examinations (Le 950.00) and ICT & I.D. Cards (Le 450.00).
Distinct Rates for International Students The document highlights a specific financial category for Nigerian nationals, likely reflecting historical bilateral educational ties. Nigerian students will pay a composite fee of Le 24,182.00 per annum. This rate is distinct from that of other international students.
For all other Non-Sierra Leonean students, the college has pegged the composite fee in foreign currency, set at US$5,000 per annum.
