The Sierra Leone Students’ Loan Scheme (SLOAN-SL) Secretariat has announced the opening of applications for its postgraduate educational loan scheme aimed at supporting less privileged Sierra Leoneans pursuing advanced studies.
According to a public notice issued by the Secretariat, the loan scheme is open to students enrolled in Master’s programmes, Law School, and PhD studies at institutions accredited by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC).
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application processing fee of NLe 500 for Master’s and Law School programmes, and NLe 750 for PhD programmes.
The Secretariat stated that payments can be made at any branch of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank using account number 003001121462112140. Alternatively, applicants may complete the process online and make payments via mobile money through WanGov.

The application window will run from Monday, 16 March 2026 to Wednesday, 15 April 2026.
SLOAN-SL emphasized that the advertisement is strictly for postgraduate applicants within the categories mentioned and encouraged female candidates to apply.
