The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) has urged 15 schools to upload their Basic Registration System BRS data immediately to avoid administrative issues for the 2025 West African Senior Secondary Examination (WASSCE).

While most schools have completed the process, these remaining schools must act quickly to comply with regulations.

The schools that have yet to upload their BRS include the Door International Academy in Kenema, Movement of Faith Senior Secondary School in Koinadugu, Ideas Special Services Secondary School in Port Loko and the remaining 12 schools located in the Western Area.

A total of 3,104 candidates from these schools could be affected if the issue is not resolved.

The MBSSE has warned that failure to comply could impact the schools’ standing with the ministry and other relevant bodies.

The Education Ministry advised that schools encountering difficulties contact their office for support. This collaboration, the ministry said, is essential to guarantee that all pupils are accurately registered for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) which is due later this year.

The WASSCE is the final exam for the majority of pupils wanting to secure tertiary education in Sierra Leone. Thousands of pupils take this premier secondary school exam every before proceeding to colleges and universities in Sierra Leone and other parts of the World.
