Blackleo PRO Mohamed B. Bayoh, popularly known as Eco Bank, has been officially appointed as the National Entertainment Youth Coordinator, a role in which he will oversee entertainment affairs at the Ministry of Youth Affairs.

The announcement was made by Sierra Leone Entertainment Ambassador Kao Denero shortly after a high-level engagement with Minister of Youth Affairs Ibrahim Sannoh.

The appointment comes on the heels of a dynamic roundtable convened by Minister Sannoh, aimed at promoting youth empowerment and elevating Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry.

The meeting brought together some of the nation’s top entertainers, including Kao Denero, Colabo, Kracktwist, Artical Foyoh, and Mohamed B. Bayoh himself.

The roundtable focused on strategies to propel Sierra Leonean music onto the global stage. Minister Sannoh revealed that discussions are underway with the Managing Director of Trace, one of the world’s leading music platforms, to secure a platform for Sierra Leonean music videos.

“This initiative is not just about music,” Minister Sannoh said. “It’s about branding Sierra Leone to the world through the creativity of our young people. Our beats, our voices, our talent deserve international recognition. Trace is only the beginning we are opening doors for Sierra Leone to shine.”

The artists welcomed the announcement with enthusiasm. Kao Denero described the initiative as “a game-changer,” noting, “For too long, we’ve been hustling to get our music noticed internationally.

If Trace opens the door, Sierra Leonean music will surely take center stage.” Prezo Colabo added, “This is history in the making! The government is finally giving the industry the push it needs, and we as artists must rise to the occasion.”
