Sierra Leonean hip-hop heavyweight and National Peace Ambassador, Alhaji Amadu Bah, popularly known as Boss LAJ, has commenced high-level preparations for his upcoming headline concert following a strategic meeting with Africell Sierra Leone’s leadership.

The Red Flag Music (RFM) General paid a courtesy visit to Africell’s headquarters this week to meet with CEO Shadi Al-Gerjawi. The discussion focused on logistical and promotional plans for the “King Boss LAJ Live in Concert,” scheduled for April 24, 2026.

The upcoming event serves as a major milestone in what has been described as a “cinematic” turnaround for the rapper. After a period of legal challenges and incarceration, 2025 marked a year of reinvention for Boss LAJ. A pivotal moment in his career occurred in February 2025, when he was appointed Peace Ambassador by President Julius Maada Bio.

Since the appointment, the rapper has worked to transition his “Red Flag” movement from a symbol of street rebellion into a platform for national cohesion and youth development.

Despite his diplomatic role, Boss LAJ remains a dominant force in the music industry. In 2025, he was named the 13th Hottest Artiste in Sierra Leone, fueled by a string of successful releases including:

“Back to Sender”: A resilience-themed anthem that dominated local airwaves.

“SABANOR”: A street-focused collaboration with Slim G.

His efforts were capped off with the “Best Rapper of the Year” title at the SLAAM Awards, proving his lyrical relevance remains intact as he bridges the gap between the industry’s “old guard” and the “new school.”

The meeting with Africell, a primary driver of entertainment in the country, signals the rapper’s intent to deliver a high-production experience for his fan base.

“We briefly went over plans for the Live in Concert happening April 24th,” Boss LAJ shared following the meeting. “The team is preparing to deliver an unforgettable experience.”

With the backing of major corporate players and his dual status as a street icon and a national diplomat, the April 2026 showcase is expected to be one of the most significant cultural events in Freetown since his release.
