Sierra Leonean hip-hop artist Alhaji Amadu Bah popularly known as Boss La who was released from prison through a presidential pardon on 1st January 2024 has met with a cross section of elderly Fullah women in Freetown.
During their gathering, the women were seen singing songs including the name of the rapper in it.
While addressing the women, Boss La started by acknowledging the presence of the women for their visit and asked that God bless them all and thanked them for their prayers while he was in prison acknowledging that it was not only his prayers that saved him from prison.
He disclosed that he decided to return to prison after the November 26th prison break because he wanted to prove that he was not a thief adding that he would have gone to any country of his choice.
He said he was brought up in a home where he was taught to stand and fight for his fight and not to be a thief.
He promised to draw closer to the organization stating that it’s because of the love and support his late mother once rendered to the organization that prompted the love he received from the women and promised to adhere to their different advice.
One of the women while responding to Boss La started that his aim is to be forward ever promising him their one hundred percent support in whatever undertaken he may choose to embark on describing themselves as his mother and willing to support him.
One of the women asked that thought they couldn’t partake in shows if he organized one but disclosed that they have children who are young and vibrant and can render their support to him.
In an interactive moment, one of the women asked that Boss La release a song for the elderly women citing an example in their local language.
