Hip-hop artist Boss La has visited Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh, and rendered his appreciation after his release from prison.

Boss La took to Facebook to share a photo of himself alongside the Chief Minister, captured in the Chief Minister’s office, accompanied by the caption “Thank you boss for everything.”

The artist’s release from incarceration occurred on January 1st, 2025, as a result of a presidential pardon. This decision came amid a 9-year jail term served by Boss La after being convicted of assault and various charges by Justice Adrien Fisher of the High Court.

Remarkably, Chief Minister Sengeh had previously visited Boss La a few months before his official release, engaging in a conversation with the hip-hop artist during his time behind bars.

Despite having met with the Chief Minister post-release, Boss La specifically dedicated this recent visit to express his gratitude and appreciation for the Chief Minister’s support throughout his legal ordeal. The artist’s public acknowledgment on social media adds a layer of transparency to the nature of their relationship and highlights the significance of the Chief Minister’s role in Boss La’s journey from incarceration to freedom.
