Sierra Leonean Sweden-based singer, songwriter, and performer Charles Joe Koroma is participating in one of the biggest Sweden’s annual singing competitions known as Melodifestivalen.

Melodifestivalen is one of Sweden’s biggest annual singing competitions organized by Swedish Public Broadcaster Sveriges Television and Radio.

Melodifestivalen 2024 is said to be the 64th edition of the Swedish music competition and is taking place over six weeks between 3rd February and 9th March 2024, hosted by Carina Berg.

The winner of the competition will go on to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, held on home soil in Malmö.

As one of the participants for the 2024 edition, C-Joe is calling on Sierra Leoneans to support him through voting as he is expected to perform today Friday 9th February 2024.

C-Joe genres of music are Afrobeats, reggae, dancehall and R&B/Hiphop. He was born in Sierra Leone and raised in Sweden. C-Joe is a former member of Gävle’s afrobeat G-Force group, a group that was formed in 2005.
