Renowned Sierra Leonean artist Rap Gee has publicly announced his departure from the Red Flag Movement (RFM) and his disassociation with fellow artist Boss La, citing a fundamental difference in their approach to career progression.

In a recent online interview, Rap Gee addressed growing public concern regarding his sudden absence from the RFM label. He stated unequivocally that he would no longer associate himself with Boss La whom he accused of stagnation.

“Anybody who has just decided that he doesn’t want to grow, like he always pretends going backward, he should be allowed to get demoted. In this world, we all want to progress in life,” Rap Gee asserted. H

He criticized what he perceived as a culture of blind deference, stating that Boss La do not deserve to be hailed by always calling them ‘yes sir!’ because, he alleged that even the ones behind him are not progressing.

Rap Gee emphasized his own personal growth, highlighting his acquisition of a car as a significant achievement. “Imagine! Before now, Rap Gee was riding on motorbikes, but now, I’m driving a car. We always used to seek them whenever they come from overseas,” he explained.

He concluded by stating that the friendship between them was over. “So, he said that the man who has decided not to grow, he should just carry on with his life, noting that let the friendship between them come to an end.”
