Sierra Leonean artist Benjamin Menelik George known as Drizilik called on more Sierra Leoneans to participate in the Budapest rally in the coming years.
Drizilik made this appeal on the final day of the Budapest rally for the first bitch at the finish line in Aberdeen Beach, Freetown on Monday 12th February 2024.
While making a short statement at the finish line, Drizilik thanked their families for their support towards their journey which he said they enjoyed all through.
He stated that he is hopeful that their participation in the Budapest rally will be the start of an autism awareness push as they also hope for more Sierra Leoneans’ participation in coming episodes of the rally.
Drizilik and two other Sierra Leoneans participated in the Budapest rally and were among the first batch of people who left Hungaria on January 26th, 2024. The team’s participation at the Budapest rally was mainly to raise awareness of autism.
Budapest rally is the world’s largest amateur vehicular rally and Africa’s biggest humanitarian event.
