DT Empire management has issued an official statement to address and clarify public misconceptions surrounding the ownership of the popular song “Care For You,” originally released in October 2018.

The clarification comes amidst a noticeable spread of misinformation, particularly among fans in Sierra Leone and the diaspora.

According to DT Empire, the song “Care For You” was produced by and is solely owned by their artist and producer, Double T (also known as Double T Onthe Beat). Markmuday, while featured on the track, contributed only as a guest artist, and his collaboration does not confer any rights of ownership.

“This statement serves to formally address and clarify public misconceptions regarding the ownership of the song ‘Care For You’,” the statement read. “The song (Care For You) was produced and is solely owned by DOUBLE T, an artist and producer under DT EMPIRE in which MARKMUDAY contributed as a featured artist only. His collaboration does not grant him any rights of ownership.”

DT Empire highlighted that the confusion appears to stem from various statements and social media activity suggesting Markmuday is the owner of the song, labeling these claims as “inaccurate and do not reflect the facts.”

The management urged the public to acknowledge the rightful owner of “Care For You” and to “refrain from spreading any further misinformation.” They concluded by thanking their fans and the wider music community for their continued support and understanding as they “set the record straight.”
