Amara Denis Turay-Jalloh, widely known as Kao Denero, Sierra Leone’s Special Envoy for Entertainment and Investment, has publicly addressed allegations of assault made against him by fellow artist Famous.
The accusations, which include claims of an attack with a pistol at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), were detailed by Kao Denero on his Facebook page.
Kao Denero stated he was “compelled” to address the issue due to its escalating nature, despite his initial reluctance to make it public. He recounted being invited to the Police CID headquarters “a few months back” to respond to Famous’s allegations of pistol assault and other serious accusations.
“Everyone on social media has witnessed how many times this individual has taunted me with disrespectful insults,” Kao Denero wrote, adding, “It’s disappointing to experience such behavior from someone I considered a colleague.”
He further criticized Famous for pursuing legal action while simultaneously mocking him on social media. “This guy will tease you like he’s a gangster, and when a fan reacts, he runs to the authorities. The investigation is ongoing,” Kao Denero stated.
The long-standing dispute between the two artists reportedly intensified on February 21, 2025, when Famous allegedly faced an attack by individuals identified as Kao Denero’s associates. The incident reportedly occurred during the “Ladies Fest” event in Freetown, organized by rapper Star Zee, as Famous was en route to perform.
