Kao Denero Allegedly Attacks Two Renowned Celebrities in Sierra Leone

In a recent sentiments making waves on Social Media, one of Sierra Leone’s biggest artists, Famous, and a renowned figure in the entertainment industry, Prezo Koroma were allegedly attacked by Kao Denero’s thugs on Friday, 21st February, 2025.

The incident came about during one of the booming events hosted in Freetown as of this year, organised by Sierra Leone’s prominent female rapper, Star Zee. The event, tagged “Ladies Fest,” welcomed different celebrities in the country and the sub-region including, former Big Brother Naija stars, Wandi and Handi from Nigeria, performing at the prepared-for event.

Allegedly, Famous was attacked by Kao Denero’s thugs while he was on his way to perform at the Ladies Fest show. According to a video making waves on social media, Famous was seen on the Ladies Fest stage with a vest. While he was on the stage, he asked the crowd at the event if they wanted to know the reason why he appeared on stage with vest; however, he was distracted by Star Zee from revealing the reason, leaving the crowd curious.

Prezo Koroma, who claimed to be one of the attendees at the Ladies Fest show, also took to social media in a very heartfelt video on the following day after the event. In the video, he alleged that Kao Denero’s boys attacked him, and threatened to stab him with a knife. But because people were around the scene, he said the boys were not able to accomplish their mission.

Prezo Koroma vehemently accused the Sierra Leone Police of taking sides with Kao Denero. He lamented, “for far too long, I have been complaining but the authorities have not taken any action. Two years back, I made reports. Majority of the police stations in Sierra Leone took my reports for granted. It was only once that they considered my report, and that was because of my familiarity with one of the officers at the station.”

Koroma concluded by admitting that he did the video to serve as an evidence because he said Kao Denero has made many attempts to attack him. He alleged that the authorities have not taken any action against Kao Denero, asserting that the burden of defending himself from the attacks of Kao Denero is solely his.
