Popular musician Edward Wright, widely known as Kontri Boss, has launched a scathing attack on fellow musician De-Bills for his critical comments about the renowned Sierra Leonean award-winning artist Drizilik, following Drizilik’s BET Cypher performance.

Kontri Boss, known for his bold and unapologetic demeanor, chose to express his disdain for De-Bills on his social media platform, stating,

De-Bills is a clear wannabe. He wants the fame, but he doesn’t have the game. Stupid-ass rapper.”

De-Bills, one of the few Sierra Leonean artists who publicly voiced their critiques of Drizilik after the BET Cypher performance, took to his Facebook page with candid remarks. His words left no room for ambiguity, as he asserted, “Even though Drizilik may not be the best, he is better than LAJ. No wonder this guy isn’t great. Look at the freestyle he’s praising. That’s the weakest Cypher I’ve ever heard. I will always make noise in this industry because I think deeper than most of you. Shallow rappers.” De-Bills further added that Drizilik’s fame is partially attributed to his association with popular Hollywood actor Idris Elba.

The exchange between Kontri Boss and De-Bills has sparked debate and discussions within the Sierra Leonean music community. Drizilik, an artist known for his unique style and impact, has earned numerous accolades and a dedicated fan base.

The public critique of his performance on the international stage has raised questions about the nature of constructive criticism in the local music industry.
