Lachaeveh Davies, the reigning Miss Freetown representing Western Area Rural, was crowned Miss Sierra Leone 2025 on Tuesday, April 29, at the Bintumani Conference Centre. She competed against 15 other contestants from across the country to win the title.
Mariyam L. Konneh, representing Miss Pujehun, was named the 1st Runner-Up, while Lala B. Sidibe, representing Miss Bombali, secured the 2nd Runner-Up position.
The pageant began with 15 contestants, which was narrowed down to a top five. The other finalists included Miss Moyamba, Odia H. Tarawally, and Miss Koinadugu, Kosarow Kargbo.
Dr. Adonis Abboud, Chairman of Miss Sierra Leone Limited, stated that the 2025 pageant was “free, fair, and credible” from auditions to the finale. He commended the contestants for their “courage, brilliance, and beauty,” highlighting their representation of their districts and their individual journeys.
Janneh Amara Bangali, a Board Member of Miss Sierra Leone Limited, emphasized the pageant’s strict eligibility criteria, including district representation. She noted that the competition focuses on developing “resilience, focus, and poise” through an intensive training program, beyond just physical beauty.
Miss Sierra Leone Limited, established in 2001, holds the exclusive rights to the national pageant and manages Sierra Leone’s participation in the Miss World competition.
Lachaeveh Alberta Caizarine Davies, 23, is a model, climate change advocate, writer, and communications student at the University of Makeni. Born in Freetown on December 26, 2001, she has a background in student politics, volunteering, and climate change advocacy. She previously held titles such as Miss Freetown 2024 and Miss University of the North.
