Orbatheh, a household name in Makeni, the northern part of Siera Leone performed for former President, Ernest Bai Koroma on his birthday.

Orbatheh is a comedian and musician who recently gained popularity following the release of his debut single “My Name na Orbatheh” in July, which received wide acclaim from the public.

Orbatheh’s remarkable journey from adversity to stardom has been an inspiration to many both within Sierra Leone and across the world. From sleeping at scrap yards to now spending nights at prestigious hotels, his emotional transformation has captivated the hearts of Makeni residents and others who have witnessed his journey since June.

On Monday, 2nd October 2023, as Koroma marked his birthday, Orbatheh graced the occasion with a heartfelt gospel rendition of “Tell am Tenky,” expressing gratitude to the divine. Former President Koroma was delighted throughout the performance, wearing a smile from start to finish.
