Popular Afro dancehall artist Rap Gee has expressed disappointment over the unpaid 70% balance after his performance at the One National Reggae Festival in Sierra Leone, organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.
On November 29th, 2025, Rap Gee had the privilege of performing at the highly anticipated One National Reggae Festival in Sierra Leone. Reggae music, with its rich history and powerful messages of unity, peace, and resilience, brought together artists and fans from across the country. As an artist, performing at such a prestigious event was both an honour and an opportunity to showcase the vibrancy of Sierra Leonean talent to a global audience.
According to a Facebook post made by Rap Gee on December 15, before his performance, he agreed with the festival organisers. As per their contract, he was to receive 30% of his performance fee upfront and the remaining 70% within 24 hours of his performance.
He stated that, on the day of his performance, he gave his all to the festival, delivering an energetic set that was well received by the crowd, which he said was a moment of pride for him, and he was excited to have contributed to the success of the event.

He confirmed that the 30% upfront payment was received without issue, as agreed. However, as the hours passed and then the days, the promised 70% balance remained unpaid. Despite the clear terms laid out in the contract and the fact that the organisers were fully aware of their obligation to pay the remaining balance within 24 hours, he found himself waiting longer than expected.
Days turned into weeks, and as of December 15, 2025, nearly two weeks have passed since the payment was due, and he has yet to receive the remaining funds.

Only the electoral thief, financial thiefaada, killer, coupist Julius Maada Bio and his cabal would think 2023 elections were free and fair amidst violence, and killing of opposition members and ordinary people who are opposed to the tyranny of this blood thirsty tyrant call Julius Maada Bio. Nothing will change the already carefully drafted indictment at the ICC against him. Maada killed people and stole the June 24th, 2023 elections, full stop. This must be overturned and he won’t get away with it. Thank God he signed a document prior to elections denouncing violence and elections rigging.
