Choithram Memorial Hospital in Cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS) collaborated with Max Healthcare as they end a workshop on Laparoscopic Surgery in Sierra Leone.

The event was hosted at a hill station in the nation’s capital Freetown with the minister of health and sanitation, Austin Demby serving as the keynote speaker.

Choithram Memorial Hospital works to provide comprehensive Medicare to the residents of Sierra Leone. They also disclosed that their 64-slice CT Scan is now fully functional after overhauling and servicing, adding that it is a 24-hour service that scans reports produced within a few hours.

The Minister commended the management of Choithram and other partners for the prompt intervention in working with the ministry in ensuring that, the health sector gets a positive mechanism to reach out to every community in the country and for the best service delivery at all times.

He also disclosed that he visited the CT scan suite, the Dialysis unit, and the ongoing construction of the MRI suite, adding that, in the quest for Health-for-all, the PPP model and private sector are critical.
