The Medical and Dental Council of Sierra Leone has issued a notice stating that doctors trained abroad must pass an exam prescribed by the Council before being registered to practice.
The notice indicates that during a meeting on February 23, 2023, the Council resolved that all medical doctors and dental surgeons who received training from foreign institutions must take an exam determined by the Council before becoming eligible for provisional registration.
The Council further specifies that this resolution is effective immediately.
