At the November Criminal sessions of the high court Holden at Freetown, Amadu Bello alias bomb blast, Asian Augustine Korofuma alias councillor Boi Boi, Gibrilla Conteh and Daniel Samura alias ‘One man geng made their first appearance before Justice Alusine Sesay of the high court no.1 to answer to two count charges of conspiracy to commit robbery with aggravation and Robbery with Aggravation.

The charges were read and explained to the accused persons to which all accused persons pleaded not guilty.

According to the charge sheet the accused persons are before the court on a two-count indictment.

The statement of offence on the face of the indictment, conspiracy to commit robbery with aggravation and its particulars of offence states that the accused persons Amadu Bello Mohamed alias bomb blast, Aiah Augustine Korfuma alias councillor boi boi, Gibrilla Conteh and Daniel Samura alias ‘One Man going on the 1st July 2022 at Kono in the Eastern province of the Republic of Sierra Leone, conspired together with other persons unknown to commit an offence to wit robbery with aggravation.

And on count 2 the statement of offence reads Robbery with Aggravation contrary to section 23 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act, 1916 as Repealed and Replaced by section 2 of the imperial statutes (criminal law) adoption amendment act 1971, Act no 16 of 1971 and its particulars of offence states that the accused persons on the 1st July 2022, at Kono in the Eastern province of the Republic of Sierra Leone being armed with a gun, a machete and scissors robbed Ruiping Chen of one black bag containing One thousand four hundred and ninety-eight point five four grams (1.498.54) of gold valued at Thirty-eight thousand unites states dollars ($38,000) equivalent to five hundred and twenty-two thousand five hundred new Leones.

Bail was refused to all accused Persons, matter adjourn for further hearing.
