A fatal accident has Reportedly claimed the lives of over 15 people including children along the Makeni-Rogbere Junction highway. The unfortunate incident occurred today Saturday, 29th March 2025.
The accident involved a taxi and a private car as both vehicles were badly damaged.
According to the report, the severity of the impact of the two vehicles colliding led to the severity of accident and the increase in number of fatalities.
The accident scene was fill with blood on the ground and the victims were backed together in a corner along the road.
Accidents along the Rogbere highway seem to be on the surge but the severity of Saturday’s accident left many in total shock given the fact that there are visible road signs purposed to ensure road safety. Locals in the village have urged authorities including the police and the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) to increase their effort in ensuring compliance with traffic rules.

That road is a dead trap honestly
I have never seen an Accident on the road when I was opportune to travel for almost Two years.
My government needs to put measures in place to curtail/ reduces the number of road accident. Especially for the month of March-April.
This is sad. May their gentle souls rest in peace.
