A disturbing incident unfolded at Old School, Bananawater, when a man claiming to be a bodyguard for President Julius Maada Bio allegedly assaulted several community members and threatened them with a firearm.

According to BORN2BLOG, the incident began when a young woman became upset after being provoked by local residents who criticized her for using too much cream on her body. In response to the harassment, she called her boyfriend for assistance.

Upon his arrival, the boyfriend, who claimed to be a bodyguard for the President of Sierra Leone, allegedly reacted violently without understanding the situation.

Eyewitnesses reported that he began to physically assault several individuals present at the scene. The situation escalated further when he reportedly brandished a pistol, instilling fear and panic among the community members.

In an attempt to de-escalate the situation, a woman intervened, urging the man to stop his aggressive behavior. However, he allegedly turned on her, physically assaulting her and injuring her hand. Witnesses also stated that he threatened to burn her house, adding to the atmosphere of intimidation.

The incident has sparked outrage within the community, spotlighting the troubling issue of individuals using their perceived power to intimidate others.
