Hon. Memunatu Jalloh, commonly known as Hon. Mems, donated essential school learning materials to 43 schools in Maasimra Chiefdom, Port Loko District, benefiting 129 top-performing pupils from the 2024 National Primary School Examination (NPSE).
This donation, made on September 8, 2024, includes items such as backpacks, notebooks, pens, and geometrical sets.
It aims to alleviate the financial burden on families struggling with the costs of education and to support the students’ transition to junior secondary school.
Hon. Mems emphasized the importance of education as a means of overcoming poverty and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting her community.
Parents and educators expressed their gratitude for her timely intervention, with Mr. Kamara, a teacher at R.C Konta Kuma School, and Aminata Koroma, a parent of two beneficiaries, praising the impact of the donation. Mohamed Sesay, one of the student beneficiaries, also expressed thanks on behalf of his peers, pledging to work hard and contribute back to society in the future.
As schools reopens for the 2024/2025 academic year, Hon. Mems’ contribution is set to significantly impact the lives of these students, ensuring they have the necessary materials to continue their education.
Thank you so much Hon. Mem. May God bless you and your family and you live long to see your good works. You are indeed representing your people.
