A 23-year-old man, identified as Sanpha Bundu, was arraigned before the police on Sunday, May 21, 2023, for allegedly breaking into a veterinary office along Gbaima Road in Bo.

Bundu was apprehended by a vigilant police officer who discovered him in possession of tools used to break into the office, including a hacksaw blade and an iron bar. Additionally, two damaged padlocks were seized as evidence against him.

During the break-in, Bundu reportedly stole several items, including three cartons of diluent, a rubber bucket, three boxes of gloves, eight aprons, three boxes of veterinary drugs (Tylosine and Lufenuron), two small Coolman containers, a white towel, a white Cool chain, and a leaf zinc.

The timely intervention of the police officer prevented Bundu from fleeing the scene with the stolen items. Upon his arrest, the suspect confessed to the allegations and pleaded for mercy, revealing that he is financially dependent on a woman and has a two-year-old child.

Under the leadership of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Brima Kanneh, the Southern Region has witnessed a significant reduction in felony cases, promoting a sense of security and peace among residents.

AIG Kanneh urged the public to abide by the law and support the police in maintaining the region’s current state of tranquility.

The investigation into the case is ongoing, with both the suspect and the seized exhibits being held in police custody. The authorities encourage community members to assist in the fight against crime by sharing vital information and aiding in the apprehension of offenders in areas without police presence.
