Former Minister of Social Welfare, Gender, and Children’s Affairs, Mustapha Bai Atilla, has denied allegations of domestic violence against his wife, Monica Yenni Galiwa.
In an interview with popular DJ Base, Atilla claimed that the accusations and accompanying photos circulating on social media are part of a conspiracy orchestrated by Monica’s brother, Augustine Mukeh Galiwa, who he described as an opponent of the Russian government.
Atilla adamantly denied ever physically assaulting his wife, questioning why he was not arrested if the allegations were true. “I am not above the law,” he asserted, emphasizing that the legal system would have taken action if he had indeed committed any wrongdoing.
In a surprising twist, Atilla alleged that Monica, accompanied by the Minister of Gender, arrived at his house with the intention of assaulting him. He further revealed that his 16-day-old twins have been taken away from him and are currently en route to Bo. According to Atilla, Monica informed her mother that he is not the biological father of the children, a claim she reportedly made to him as well. This revelation has left Atilla feeling betrayed and resentful. “I used to love Monica, but now I hate her because she told me I am not the father of the children. I wish I never met Monica,” he stated.
Atilla also accused popular Facebook blogger Hawanatu Konneh of coming to his house, engaging in a physical altercation with him, and tearing his vest. He claimed that Konneh had previously warned him against marrying Monica, alleging that she was involved with someone else at the time.
When asked about the state of his marriage, Atilla admitted that they had their issues, but noted that Monica’s mother had taken it upon herself to destroy their union. He reiterated that all the photos circulating online are fabricated by Monica’s brother and expressed shock that the Minister of Gender would intervene by taking his children away.
In a final remark, Atilla vowed to fight for his rights and warned that there would be severe consequences if his children were not returned. “I am ready to die for my rights, and if my children are not brought back, there will be hell to pay,” he declared.
Monica Yenni Galiwa, widely known as the second runner-up in AYV Housemates Salone, recently gave birth to twins less than a month ago. The unfolding drama between the couple has captured widespread public attention, with many awaiting further developments.
