Alimamy Sinneh, a businessman, and Alimamy Gbamkey, known as “White Boy,” faced serious charges in Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown on Monday.
They are accused of conspiracy and armed robbery related to an incident that occurred on February 23, 2025, along Gulf Club Lumley Beach Road.
According to court documents, the two men allegedly conspired with unknown accomplices to commit robbery with aggravation. The charges specify that they attacked Blessing Cole, a student at Fourah Bay College, armed with a cutlass, and stole her iPhone 11 Pro Max, valued at 15,000 new Leones. During the assault, they reportedly used personal violence against her.
In her testimony, Cole identified the accused and recounted her experience that evening. She explained that she and her friends had been playing basketball at a nearby sports zone around 7:30 PM. As they were making their way to Lumley to catch transportation home, the accused allegedly launched their attack.
The police presented the stolen iPhone as evidence in court, which was identified by Cole. The defense attorney, M.K. Dauda, attempted to cross-examine her in an effort to establish the innocence of his clients.
Magistrate Sahr Kekura denied bail for both defendants, remanding them to the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown. The case has been adjourned until April 8, 2025, as the investigation continues.
