Chief Minister, David Sengeh managed to scoop a win against table tennis Olympian, George Wyndham on Saturday morning.
Sharing his achievement on the social media, Facebook, he said, “I achieved my greatest sporting fit today. I won one game (out of four) against a three-time Olympian.”
Sengeh further described his love for table tennis as a school pupil and as a PhD student during his time at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US.
The Chief Minister, encouraged by his conversation with Wyndham after the match, described him as a “patriot”.

He described the table tennis player as a visionary sportsman who is looking to set up a disability and an inclusion desk at Sierra Leone’s National Sports Authority (NSA).
Wyndham, a paralympian, has been representing Sierra Leone in the Paralympics for over 10 years. In a country where some disabled are reduced to street begging, Wyndham challenged the odds and venture to achieve his dream at the world stage.
Some experts believe that his achievements are not only an inspiration for disabled Sierra Leoneans but also the larger population.
