A video shared widely on social media shows a heated exchange between a staff member at a Conex filling station in Lungi, Sierra Leone, and a customer. The customer reportedly called the police after refusing to pay a 10 leone bribe to obtain fuel.
According to reports, the customer believed that paying an additional 10 leone on top of the official price of 30 leone for fuel constituted an act of corruption. The fuel station worker allegedly became irate and verbally aggressive following the customer’s refusal and his decision to involve the authorities.
The social media video has garnered significant attention, sparking discussions about bribery and corruption in Sierra Leone. The specific actions taken by the police or the filling station’s management in response to the incident are unclear at this time.

This is bad as a nation. Over two weeks now no fuel (petrol) in the country but every day we heard them saying that about 2000 lit of petrol just entered into the country.. But where is this Petrol now. We the citizen of this country are really suffering… What has the government really done about this. Those people are just sitting there as if nothing is happening in the country. Which kind leader we get bha…
Salone dn turn to jebu county. But God dae
She deserved strong punishment from the government
Just see the level of illiteracy and unprofessionalism that this woman is displaying. She doesn’t know that she has just committed a big crime by illegally increasing the price of fuel when there is a fixed price given by the government and the worst of it all she is busy insulting the government and law enforcement officers. Just yesterday Connex fuel station in Grafton was sealed and fined for this same attitude by their staff and this one in Lungi is busy doing the same thing. Conex should be ready to pay a lot of money as fines.

She has to be out off jobb immediatel, because of her behaviour against the customer.
Besides the corruption that woman is personally aggressive, she doesn’t even have respect for government and the constitution of this country.
