A 50 meter well is lying dangerously exposed outside the JS Kelfala Campus of the East Freetown International College off Congress Road (back of Cowyard), Kissy.
Neighbors have become increasingly concerned after a three year old boy nearly fall into the deep pit recently. Calls on the management of the college to cover up the unused well have reportedly fallen on deaf ears as the individual managing the institution has been very dismissive of people who genuinely raised concerns.
The area in which the well was dug is a playground for several kids in the neighborhood.
This medium is therefore calling on authorities to act swiftly before something terrible occurs.
