Ibrahim Michael, a thirty-two-year-old driver, made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown, facing a charge of housebreaking and larceny contrary to Section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
During the court seating, according to the particulars of the offense, on 2nd March 2025, at Mambo Peninsula, Goderich, in the Western Area of Freetown, Michael allegedly broke into the dwelling house of Amara Saffa with the intent to steal.
He is accused of stealing one Dell high-five laptop valued at fifteen thousand Leones (15,000) and the sum of forty thousand Leones (40,000), bringing the total value of the stolen property to fifty-five thousand Leones (55,000), all belonging to Amara Saffa.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.

The prosecutor, Sergeant 8975 Bangura I.S., requested a short adjournment to confer with his witnesses.
Magistrate Kekura refused bail due to the seriousness of the offense and remanded the accused to the male correctional facility in town. The matter was adjourned to March 21st, 2025.
