Sierra Leonean musician Drizilik has publicly taken aim at rapper and Entertainment Ambassador Kao Denero, stating in a recent media interview that LAJ’s music is “easier to listen to” and that Kao’s songs are “uninspiring.”
Speaking during the interview, Drizilik said his remarks were a response to what he described as ongoing tension between himself and Kao Denero, emphasizing that their relationship has never been close compared to the bond he shares with fellow artist LAJ.
He cited several instances of online confrontations involving Kao and members of the Black Leo team, including a recent comment made under a post promoting his UK show.
“Just few days ago, I post something about my UK show, and the *Black Leo Official Media* commented, which kind of parlor is this that you hosted your show. And I had to come back and respond,” he said.

Drizilik claimed that Kao had attempted to use his “power and influence” over him, but insisted that he does not allow such actions to affect him. “I am someone who does not allow such people to penetrate me,” he said, adding that he would not tolerate behavior he believes amounts to oppression.
He further questioned Kao Denero’s suitability for his current role as Entertainment Ambassador, arguing that “such power does not suit someone with competitive spirit,” and describing Kao as “very competitive.”
“I am a love making music, but I don’t make music with just anybody,” Drizilik said. He added that his stance is based on what he represents, alleging that Kao has been “bulleying” him for a while.
“I believe that he is someone who hates me with his guts,” he said, pointing to past incidents in which Kao allegedly directed jabs at him on social media and during media appearances. According to Drizilik, other artists, including Incredible JJ, have had similar experiences.
Drizilik also revealed that he was once a strong supporter of the Black Leo movement. “I was a Black Leo fan,” he said, explaining that he previously enjoyed Kao Denero’s music but no longer does. However, he noted that he maintains good relationships with some members of the Black Leo camp.
“I have the responsibility to protect my vision, and to protect what I have built. I can’t just allow someone who feels that he has power to say anything without responding,” he stated.
