Security personnel at the Bo Fallah Checkpoint intercepted a drug trafficking attempt on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at approximately 3:00 PM. Two individuals were apprehended and are currently under investigation.
During a routine search, officers discovered a large quantity of Tramadol in the possession of Muminy Bah, a passenger from 4 Mile, Waterloo. Also apprehended was Edward Koroma, a driver from 47 White House, Grafton, Freetown, who was found with a substantial amount of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.
Both suspects and the seized substances were transported to the Transnational Organized Crime Unit at the Regional Police Headquarters South in Bo for further investigation. Authorities confirmed that the case will be charged to court as the investigation progresses.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Brima Kanneh, Regional Police Commander South, was immediately informed of the arrests.
