The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Brima Kanneh in a swift response to combat drug abuse, led the apprehension of a female police officer, Fatmata Dumbuya, stationed at the Sahn Malen police station under Pujehun Division in Sierra Leone.
Found in possession of sixty wraps of Kush during police operations, Dumbuya faces disciplinary action and potential criminal charges.
AIG Brima Kanneh condemned Dumbuya’s actions as a betrayal of the police force’s values and integrity, assuring the public of swift and thorough investigations. Dumbuya has been suspended from duty pending further inquiries and will potentially face charges related to drug possession and distribution.
The suspect remains in police custody, with investigations ongoing at the Regional Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters.

Pay livable wages to the police and army, including civil servants, create employment opportunities for the youths and school leavers to start up with life, upscale teachers salaries, directly invest to upgrade and upscale the Agriculture and business sectors to achieve food sufficiency and promote self reliance. Then, make firm, sensible, smart and enforceable laws against financial crimes, drug traffic and sale, police misconduct, bribery and smuggling of essential products and goods through the borders. This is to fix the entire sole of the country which is decaying and the results have been chilling.
