Murana Fobbie, former Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) councilor of Ward 345 in the Moyamba District Council has passed away.
Councilor Fobbie was reported dead on Thursday, January 30, after a prolonged illness.
Fobbie was a highly esteemed leader within the SLPP, renowned not only for his political acumen but also for his unwavering dedication to the betterment of his community.
He was a prominent figure in Moyamba District —widely recognized for his tireless efforts in fostering community development. His deep commitment to uplifting the lives of his constituents resonated throughout the district earning him the respect and admiration of many. The impactful initiatives he championed left a mark, transforming the area and inspiring a sense of hope and progress among his people.
A seven-day memorial ceremony will be held at the residence in Bai Largoh Town, Kori Chiefdom, on February 7 and 8.
