Four police officers, including the Operations Driver for Bo East Police Station, are set to appear before Magistrate George Edwin at Magistrate Court No. 1 in Bo on September 26, 2024.
The officers face a series of grave charges, including murder, conspiracy, and robbery with aggravation.
The charges stem from their alleged involvement in the murder of two individuals during a violent armed robbery in Bo, as well as a bank robbery that occurred in Taiama Village along the Bo/Freetown Highway. The officers are accused of carrying out these crimes during their service, sparking widespread outrage and concern over the abuse of their authority.
The officers, whose names have not yet been released to the public, were apprehended following investigations linking them to the deadly incidents. Prosecutors are expected to outline the full list of offenses in court, which could include additional charges as more evidence emerges.
The hearing before Magistrate Edwin is anticipated to draw significant public and media attention, given the serious nature of the charges and the fact that law enforcement officers are implicated.
Updates on the proceedings are expected as the trial progresses.
Do we need to trust police force again?. Because of all, they said that they are there to protect lives and properties, to me is not true.
Mr Poster thank you very much, this country is now full of weakedness, now to my own opinion I want let government lay law when ever someone kill let he/she kill also,so that this killing must stop in this country.
