The accountant at Community Action for Rural Development (CARD), James Robinson Junior was charged to court last Wednesday with three counts of conspiracy, fraud and obtaining money by false pretenses.
Making his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1, the prosecution alleged that the accused conspired with other persons unknown and defrauded the complainant Alfred Syl Koroma, a banker at Union Trust Bank, the issue of Le40 million for the sale of a plot of land.
According to Fritong Post Newspaper, the accused was granted Le50 million bail and a surety in like sum, and the matter adjourned to Jan. 26
