The lead pastor of Christ Wonders International Gospel Ministry situated at Dwazark community, Pastor Emmanuel Oluseyi Bankole, a Nigerian national who on his first appearance in court on Thursday 12 November 2015 was released on bail for allegedly raping one 16 years old girl and impregnated her was yesterday seized bail and remanded in custody at the male correctional center until Friday 20th November 2015.
The accused who is before magistrate Albert J. Moody of Freetown court No.2 is responding to one count charge of sexual penetration contrary to section 19 of the sexual offenses Act of 2012.
It was gathered that the pastor Phillips allegedly committed the offence between 1st February 2014 and 1st October 2015 in Freetown.
According to the police, trouble started when the pastor introduced a concept of every Wednesday all-night, prayer session where he often releases prophecies to the congregation.
The pastor conceiving evil intentions, allegedly prophesied to the victim, two weeks all night prayers for her to ward off evil manipulations.
During prayer session, the suspect allegedly prayed in a secluded room with the victim, in most cases armed with candles and olive oil and in the process had carnal relationship with her.
The accused was represented by lawyer Ishmael Philip Mammie, while the matter was prosecuted by Assistant Superintendent of police Tommy Zizer.
