GOAL Sierra Leone has handed over a newly constructed solar-powered borehole to residents of Mogbuama village in Kamajei Chiefdom, Moyamba District.
The handing over was met with gratitude and joy as various dignitaries and community leaders gathered for the ceremony.
Among those who spoke during the event were the Project Country Director representing GOAL Sierra Leone, a representative from the Moyamba District council, and the Paramount Chief of the region, all of whom expressed their appreciation to the organization for their generous support in providing clean water to the village.
The Deputy Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, along with councillors and local leaders, also shared their thoughts on the importance of such projects in improving the lives of the community members.
The atmosphere was further enhanced by cultural dancers and masquerades who added a festive touch to the occasion. The town chief concluded the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks to GOAL Sierra Leone and all those involved in making the borehole solar-powered well a reality for the people of Mogbuama village.
