The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of Sierra Leone has issued a formal call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the leasing and operation of the Viewing Platform and Ancillary Facilities/Services at Leicester Peak.
The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to promote tourism and enhance the visitor experience at one of Sierra Leone’s most picturesque locations.
In the official announcement, the Ministry invited interested firms, individuals, or organizations to submit proposals to lease and manage the viewing platform, a prominent tourist destination in the country.
The scope of the lease covers not only the viewing platform but also associated ancillary facilities and services, including visitor amenities, tour services, and maintenance of the site.
The Date of Issue for the call is 26 November 2025, and the Ministry is seeking qualified parties capable of contributing to the development of Leicester Peak as a key tourist attraction in Sierra Leone.

The move is part of Sierra Leone’s broader strategy to boost the country’s tourism sector, improve infrastructure at tourist sites, and create new economic opportunities in local communities. The government aims to leverage the natural beauty of Leicester Peak, offering both local and international visitors an unforgettable experience.
